About Me

Our Story

Established in 2013, the Nepal Acupuncture Association boasts a membership of over 50 Nepali acupuncturists. Membership is exclusively extended to certified practitioners, ensuring a commitment to professional standards within the association.

Amaan, the driving force behind the association, is dedicated to several key objectives. First and foremost, it aims to elevate the standard of acupuncture education, aligning with guidelines based on recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO). By doing so, Amaan strives to enhance the competency of practicing acupuncturists.

Our mission

In addition to promoting education, Amaan seeks to raise awareness about the science of acupuncture, demystifying its principles and benefits. An integral part of this mission involves providing healthcare services to citizens through free medical camps, thereby reaching underserved communities and making acupuncture more accessible.

Ethical considerations are paramount in the practice of acupuncture, and Amaan is committed to instituting a robust ethical code of conduct for acupuncturists. This code serves as a framework to ensure ethical standards, professionalism, and integrity in the delivery of acupuncture services.

Furthermore, recognizing the legal landscape surrounding acupuncture practice, Amaan extends legal support to practicing acupuncturists. This facet aims to safeguard the rights and interests of acupuncturists, fostering a conducive environment for the growth and legitimacy of acupuncture as a recognized and respected healthcare modality in Nepal.
